School and Group Tours:
The Umpqua Discovery Center is able to provide guided tours for kids ages 5-16 through “Pathways to Discovery” and “Tidewaters and Time.” Both exhibits will examine the Umpqua Basin through murals, interactive activities and sensory experiences.
Adults are recommended to self-guide, as there is so much information in the exhibits and they can move at their own pace.

Animal Identification – Footprints, Skulls, and Scat.
Gray Whales.
Hexaflexagon – Lifecycle of the Salmon.
Jedidiah Smith and the Umpqua River conflict.
Theater with 30+ films, including the ‘History of Reedsport’.

Special Pricing for Schools: The Center can provide programming for a maximum of 60 students at one time. Each program is an average of 25 minutes. Pre- and Post – visit curriculum is available. All programming meets the Oregon Curriculum Content Standards. With 25 or more students, each student is $3.00 and adults/chaperones are $7.00. 1 teacher is free per 25 students. | |
